To Da Front – 7/25/13
Wednesday night cooled off from the heat wave, and we had some issues under the hood that may or may not have affected our performance.
Finally getting some new tires on the car, we rolled out there and the car was a little snug. Making changes after the first round our lap times remained the same, but the car was definitely turning better. Making a few more changes for the race, we started 12th and after every restart the car felt different. To start it wasn’t that great, but then it came in, then it felt like we were running on a flat, and the whole time there was an awful vibration. Getting as high as third, we ended up falling back to 5th place. After rolling into tech, and popping the hood, we noticed 2 of my spark plugs were disconnected.
Time to fix the issue and move forward! Only one race this week, and its for fireworks at the bowl featuring an extra distance X-Car event!
